About Platja d'Aro

Once a small fishing village, Castell-Platja d’Aro is now a popular beach resort in the heart of Catalonia’s Costa Brava. It comprises the medieval village of Castell d’Aro and the sun-drenched beachside community of Platja d’Aro.

Explore the narrow streets of historic Castell d’Aro, which is home to the 16th-century Torre Sequera and the doll-focused Museo de la Muñeca. Not to miss is the Castillo de Benedormiens, a centuries-old castle around which the village was established. It once played an important defensive role in La Vall d'Aro and now houses the town’s Cultural Centre.
