Serving as both a civil and military hub, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport handles more than 1,000 flights a day. Services are second to none, with all three terminals offering passengers plenty of opportunities to eat, snack and shop. There’s also free Wi-Fi in all terminals, which means passengers can stay connected pre and post flight.
Phoenix Sky Harbor is Arizona’s largest and busiest airport, offering both domestic and international flights. Most visitors make a beeline for the city’s keynote attractions. City slickers can visit the Arizona Science Centre and Heard Museum for Native American culture, while outdoor enthusiasts head to Desert Botanical Garden and iconic Camelback Mountain.
The Airport sits five kilometres to the south-east of downtown Phoenix, in Maricopa County. The PHX Sky Train whisks passengers in-between terminals, with local buses connecting the airport with the city centre. Rental car agencies are available on site, in addition to long-term parking.
In addition to take-offs and landings, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is also home to a fantastic museum. It’s a great way to kill time, with the curated Art Collection, Exhibition Program and the Aviation History Collection designed to celebrate Arizona’s unique artistic and cultural heritage.
