At just over 100 metres tall, Roi Et Tower soars over the city skyline. It anchors Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Park and features a unique design inspired by traditional “wot” panpipes used by Isan musicians. Unlock 360-degree views from the observation deck.
See fish from across Northeast Thailand at the Roi Et Municipal Aquarium. Small but engaging, the aquarium features walk-through tunnels that get you face-to-face with dozens of freshwater species.
Stroll along tree-lined paths in Bueng Phalan Chai. Set on an island, the park is the city’s signature green space. Walk around the lotus-filled pond or rent a pedal boat and enjoy a leisurely paddle around the lake. The grassy lawns are perfect for picnics and badminton games.
Admire hundreds of brightly painted earthenware sculptures at Wat Pa Non Sawan. The 30-kilometre drive to the temple is worth the effort. Parts of Roi Et are pedestrian-friendly and easy to get around on foot. Taxis and tuk-tuks are a fast and affordable way to cover longer distances and visit surrounding sights and attractions. Roi Et Airport is a 40-minute drive away.
