Overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, Jomtien Beach is a vibrant seaside town located three kilometres south of bustling Pattaya. It centres around a golden beach lined with eateries and lies on the doorstep of several tourist attractions, such as the ever-popular Pattaya Floating Market.
A highlight of visiting Jomtien Beach is lazing on its long stretch of sand, with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available for rent. There are a variety of cafes and restaurants backing the beach and a children’s playground with slides, swings and climbing equipment themed around the “Angry Birds”.
Just a stone’s throw from Jomtien Beach is the Pattaya Floating Market, where you’ll find souvenir shops, authentic eateries and tropical fruit stalls that can be explored by boat. A short drive south is MIMOSA Pattaya, a lively shopping and dining complex clustered with Renaissance-inspired buildings that host a nightly cabaret show.
