Hugging the west bank of the Berezhnytsya River, Morshyn is a small city within the Eastern Carpathian Foothills region of Ukraine. It’s one of the most popular health resorts in the country thanks to its mineral springs and features a sprawling park home to a family-friendly zoo.
Stroll through scenic Kurortnyy Park, which centres around a summer amphitheatre and lies adjacent to Marmurovyy Palats Sanatoriy. In addition to its leafy walking trails, it’s home to the Zootropolis where you can get up close to animals from around the globe, including raccoons, llamas and colourful peacocks.
Morshyn is clustered with health resorts and recreation complexes, including the Arcadia and the Tsentralʹnyy Byuvet. South of the city centre is Ozero lake, which is a popular spot for swimming in the summer months. Also, the city’s famous mineral water can be sourced from several drinking fountains throughout Morshyn.
Getting there
Morshyn is just over an hour’s drive from Lviv and Danylo Halytskyi International Airport, which has flights to destinations across Europe. Regular trains connect to the Morshyn railway station while the centre of Morshyn is compact enough to explore on foot.
