Enjoy a day of sun, sand and saltwater at Mimizan Plage, a lively resort on the Atlantic coast. A short drive from the Mimizan town centre, the resort attracts sunseekers from across the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Relax on the sand or test your skills on a surfboard. The main shopping street is lined with cafes, bistros and ice cream parlours. There are also plenty of bars to keep you entertained after dark.

Aureilhan Lake is located just outside the town centre and offers family-friendly nature trails and scenic picnic spots. The Promenade Fleurie trail skirts the western banks of the lake and takes you past beautifully manicured gardens. Rental boats are a great way to enjoy Aureilhan Lake from a different perspective.
