Overlooking a reservoir along the Vltava River, Lipno nad Vltavour is a popular summer resort in the Czech Republic. It boasts a lively beach and plenty of family-friendly attractions, which include a butterfly house and one of the longest dry toboggans in the country.
Lipno nad Vltavou is famed for its Treetop Walkway, which ascends 675 metres to the top of a 40-metre-high lookout tower. Interpretive panels about the area’s natural heritage are dotted along the route and there are magnificent views across the surrounding forest and the Vltava River.
In the summer months, you can swim and sunbathe at Pláž Lipno or grab a bite to eat at one of the waterfront restaurants. Palm prints from famous Olympic athletes can be found at the outdoor Olympijská Galerie while colourful butterflies are a highlight of the fairytale-like Papilonia Lipno.
