Spindleruv Mlyn Ski Resort is one of the top snow sports destinations in the country and features five different ski areas. Cruise down family-friendly runs in Horní Mísečky and test your nerve on black diamond runs in challenging Svatý Petr. Lessons at the ski school are a good way to brush up on your technique.
If you prefer cross-country skiing, the resort offers more than 85 kilometres of marked trails. The four-kilometre-long toboggan run is a hit with kids. For more action, check out nearby ski resorts like Pec pod Sněžkou and Rokytnice nad Jizerou.
After an exhilarating day on the slopes, warm up with a hearty meal at a local restaurant. Most establishments serve traditional Czech cuisine, including roasted pork topped with sauerkraut, “uzene” smoked meat and spicy goulash. In the summer, Spindleruv Mlyn is an excellent base to hike in Krkonoše National Park. Alpine trails that take you through spruce forests and past dramatic glacier-carved rock formations. Getting around Špindlerův Mlýn
Spindleruv Mlyn is pedestrian-friendly and easy to get around on foot. The resort is a two-hour drive from Prague and 2.5 hours by bus. Václav Havel Airport Prague is a three-hour drive away.
