Things to do in Lauderhill
Coincide your visit with a performance at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center, a state-of-the-art, 1,143-seat theatre where standup comedy shows, musical concerts and theatrical plays are regularly held. Lauderhill also hosts the annual Jammin’ in the Park and Art Fest, which brings together a range of performing arts and a culinary feast in the Ilene Lieberman Botanical Garden.
The Ilene Lieberman Botanical Garden is a picturesque place to wander on a sunny day, with this leafy green space named after one of Lauderhill’s former mayors. You can explore the paved paths that are dotted with art installations and connect along a network of bridges before letting the kids run loose in the children’s playground.
Need a retail fix? Head to the Lauderhill Mall, a spacious shopping destination where you’ll find a diverse choice of both national and regional stores. Shop for the latest fashions at Edge Look and Ashley Stewart before browsing the homewares at the Liquidation Center, then grab a bite to eat from Charlie’s Pastries, the Panini Hut or Seafood Express. Also nearby is the Swap Shop & Thunderbird Drive-In Theater, which combines a 1960s-inspired flea market with a 14-screen drive-in cinema.
