A three-kilometre trail loops around the lake and is great for stretching your legs and enjoying the sunshine. Just north of the village is Galloping Hill Park and Golf Course, where you can tee off on a championship circuit designed by Williard G Wilkinson.
William Miller Sperry Observatory is operated by Union College and boasts some of the largest telescopes on the East Coast. On Friday nights, public stargazing sessions offer a unique chance to discover the mesmerising night skies of New Jersey.

Kenilworth is pedestrian-friendly and easy to get around on foot while local buses run between Kenilworth and Midtown Manhattan. NJ Transit trains run between Penn Station in Manhattan and Roselle Park, a 10-minute drive from Kenilworth. Newark Liberty International Airport is a 25-minute drive away.
