Discover a botanical paradise at Hallim Park, where nine uniquely themed gardens showcase a rich diversity of flora and fauna from across the globe. From a 150-year-old Bonsai Garden to a dedicated waterlily and lotus pond, Hallim Park’s nature trails are the perfect place to relax.
Hallim Park is also famous for its 400-meter-long Ssangyonggul Cave formed 25 million years ago. After marveling at the cave’s dazzling stalactites and stalagmites, visit the Folk village where you can learn about the culture and traditions of the Jeju people or marvel at the exotic peacocks and reptiles in the mini zoo.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite, treat yourself to a Jeju Island delicacy at the Palm Tree Restaurant, such as a seafood hot pot. For a unique experience, arrive in time for a seasonal flower festival. Each month Hallim Park celebrates the florals in bloom, from daffodils in January to cherry blossoms in April.
Getting there
Hallim Park sprawls along Hyeopjae and Geumneung beaches on the western shores of Jeju Island. It’s about 20 minutes’ drive from Jeju City or you can take the bus to Hallim Park.
