Perched atop a rocky ridge overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Gassin is a charming town on the Côte d’Azur. Its narrow, winding streets offer magnificent views across the surrounding vineyards toward the Gulf of St. Vincent and the Iles d'Or in the distance.
Things to do in Gassin
Stroll through the historic centre of Gassin to admire its centuries-old ramparts and the picturesque Notre Dame de la Compassion Chapel. Gassin is home to one of the world’s narrowest streets, L’Androuno, which is just 29 centimetres wide. Nearby is one of the oldest art galleries on the Côte d'Azur, Galerie deï Barri, which specialises in Western figurative art.
Travelling with kids? Head to Azur Park, which is home to more than 35 family-friendly rides beautifully illuminated after dark. You can soak up the elevated views from the Ferris wheel or challenge your family and friends to a game of prehistoric-themed miniature golf. Also on site is La Rotisserie restaurant, which specialises in grilled meats, pizzas and burgers.
Golfers can test their skills at the Golf Club Saint-Tropez, which features an 18-hole course designed by Thierry Sprecher and Gery Watine. You can practise your swing at the driving range, take advantage of the 9-hole pitch and putt course or shop for golfing apparel and accessories at the on-site pro shop. Gourmet French cuisine is served at the clubhouse restaurant.
