From Nice or any of the cities along the coast, the easiest way to travel is by train on the Nice-Ventimiglia line or by a local bus from the central station.
Like most towns along the French Riviera, the history of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat dates back to the tribal settlements of the Celtic people who set the foundations of civilisation that was taken over by ancient Greeks. Although once merged with nearby settlements, Saint Jean Cap Ferrat became an independent commune in 1904 and is now one of the most expensive and exclusive places to live in the world.
