De Montfort Hall is an iconic performing arts venue that hosts everything from touring West End musicals to international stand-up comedy acts. It's one of the largest entertainment venues in Leicester and welcomes a stellar roster of acts, including big names such as Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles.
The venue opened in 1913 and is named after the 6th Earl of Leicester, Simon de Montfort. Ballet performances, opera recitals, jazz concerts and musicals are just some of the events held at De Montfort Hall. Every festive season De Montfort Hall hosts the legendary Christmas pantomime.
The stage is often graced by the famous Philharmonia Orchestra, as well as other prestigious local groups like the Leicester Philharmonic Choir and Leicester Symphony Orchestra. With floor-to-ceiling windows and lavish décor, the Victoria Suite Bar is a fantastic place to enjoy a pre-show drink.
