An African-themed animal park in Florida, Busch Gardens Tampa is one of the most visited theme parks in the United States. It spreads across 135 hectares and is defined by its various sections, including a Morocco, Egypt, Congo and Nairobi area. It’s run in conjunction with the adjacent Adventure Island water park, creating a giant amusement multiplex.
Climb aboard the Serengeti Express steam train to reach the most popular exhibits. Travelling with little ones? They’ll love visiting Sesame Street Safari of Fun, while the whole family can enjoy observing real African animals at Edge of Africa, a walk-through exhibit with spotted hyenas, giraffes, a Nile crocodile, lions and lemurs.
Just inside the park's main entrance you’ll find the Moroccan Palace and Marrakesh Theater, which both reflect the customs, dance and music of Morocco. Don’t miss tasting the Sultan's Sweets and having a Moroccan-style meal at Zagora Café.
Getting There
