Animal lovers can get up close to dolphins, rays and sharks at Dolphin Island Park, which lies just offshore from Bavaro Beach.

Bavaro is around 30 minutes’ drive north of Punta Cana International Airport, connecting with destinations across Europe, Latin America and North America. Most of the resorts are within an easy walking distance of the beach and taxis are readily available for longer journeys.
