Known as “The X” by local hockey fans, Xcel Energy Center is a multipurpose arena and home to the NHL’s Minnesota Wild. It has a capacity for almost 20,000 fans on four spectator levels, including one dedicated to luxury suites.
Unique features of Xcel Energy Centre include the “crow’s nest” corners. One showcases a Zamboni shell with an organ tucked inside, which plays during games. Another harbours a lighthouse and foghorn that blasts during team entry, goals and victories. The “Let’s Play Hockey” announcements take place in another nest, along with interviews and fan contests.
In addition to standard ballpark cuisine, you’ll find high-end eateries and lounges, including The Reserve and the Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Club. Sign up for a one-hour tour of hockey-themed art exhibits, premium seating areas and the Al Shaver Press Box.
