It offers a fascinating insight into the development of the Baiuwaren culture, which emerged in the 6th century. North-east of Waging am See is the Waginger See, a scenic lake that provides a setting for boating and fishing. In the summer months, you can enjoy a swim from one of the sandy beaches, lure carp, bream and trout or explore along the hiking trails that wind through the surrounding foothills.
