The University of Oulu is one of the largest and most prestigious universities in Finland. Founded in 1958, the university welcomes around 13,000 students and offers courses across a range of faculties including education, humanities, science and medicine.

On the main campus, the University of Oulu Botanical Gardens occupies 16 hectares on the shores of Lake Kuivasjarvi. Getting there
The University of Oulu is located in the Linnanmaa district, five kilometres from Oulu’s city centre. Parking is available on campus and the university is well serviced by local bus routes. Oulu Airport is a 20-minute drive south.
