Uberlingen invites you to relax, unwind and enjoy centuries-old wellness traditions. The city is set on the shores of Lake Constance and dotted with flower-filled parks and gardens. Stroll along the scenic lakeside promenade, explore the cobbled Old Town and treat yourself at the thermal spa complex.
Things to do in Überlingen
Uberlingen is fringed by one of the longest waterfront promenades on Lake Constance. Palm trees and flower-filled pots line the promenade and add to the picturesque setting. It’s a lovely place to stroll at any time of the day, though the views are especially beautiful at sunset when the lake acquires a golden glow.
Enjoy well-deserved R&R at Bodensee-Therme Überlingen, a thermal spa complex on the banks of Lake Constance. Swim in the outdoor pool and enjoy facilities like the sauna and steam room. Locals have been harnessing the therapeutic properties of the thermal water since the 16th century. Uberlingen is also a great place to try Kneipp hydrotherapy treatments, which have been practised in the town since the 1800s.
The Uberlingen Garden Culture Path connects beautiful parks and gardens across the city. It stretches for four kilometres and treats you to beautiful views over Lake Constance. The SeeGang trail is longer and connects Uberlingen with the neighbouring town of Konstanz.
Get lost in the winding streets and alleys of the Old Town. Gothic-style St. Nikolaus Cathedral towers over the historic district and features an ornate wooden altar carved in the 1600s. Historic buildings with wooden shutters frame the main square. Cafes spill onto the square and make it a lovely place to enjoy a morning espresso or an evening aperitivo.
