Comprising several hamlets, Taden is a peaceful commune in the Brittany department of Cotes-d’Armor. Archaeological remains along the banks of La Rance suggest the area has been inhabited since the Gallo-Roman era. In addition to the main town of Taden, the commune includes the villages of La Grand-Ville, Trelat and Les Landes Basses.

In the heart of Taden is the Eglise Saint Pierre, a stone-built church listed as a Monument Historique. It was originally established in the 14th century and is topped by a prominent bell tower with an octagonal spire. East of Taden is the Site Gallo-Romain des Boissieres, which lies on the left bank of La Rance.
