Nestled in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, Sundre is a riverside town in central Alberta. It is named after the original home of Nels T. Hagen, a Norwegian migrant who became Sundre’s first postmaster. Today, the town is an important hub for the surrounding forestry, agriculture and ranching industries.
