Forming part of Andorra’s largest ski area, the Grand Valira, Soldeu is a picturesque village in the Pyrenees. It’s popular with families due to its award-winning ski school and easy hiking trails, while it also boasts a lively nightlife scene after dark.
If you’re visiting in the winter months, you can take advantage of Soldeu’s 36 runs, which cater to skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Ride the gondola up to the Soldeu Ski School, from where there are spectacular views across the Grand Valira, as well as several restaurants.
Once the snow melts, you can follow the Cami de Gall hiking trail that connects Soldeu with the village of Canillo, taking in several suspension bridges along the way. Don’t miss the twin lakes of Juclar de Soldeu, which are nestled in the Incles Valley at an elevation of more than 2,295 metres.
