Things to do in El Pas de la Casa
You can take advantage of El Pas de la Casa’s 30+ lifts to access its high-altitude terrain, with slopes that are suitable for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. As the highest resort in Andorra, it also boasts the best snowfall conditions in the principality. For off-piste slopes, head to nearby Pic Negre d’Envalira.
The Grandvalira ski area also provides a setting for snowmobiling and dog sledding, as well as snowshoeing and snow tubing. You can thaw out at the Pas de la Casa Sports and Sociocultural Centre, where you’ll find an Olympic swimming pool, jacuzzis and a sauna. Challenge your family and friends to a game of table tennis and squash or relax in the Turkish bath.
El Pas de la Casa is renowned for its après ski scene, home to lively restaurants and clubs where you can party until the early hours. Mingle with the locals while playing table football at the bars or feast on alpine fondue at El Provencal. El Pas de la Casa is also famed for its duty-free shopping, with everything from designer fashions and perfumes to winter sporting equipment for sale.
Getting around El Pas de la Casa
El Pas de la Casa is around two hours’ drive from Toulouse and 2.5 hours from Barcelona and Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport. Buses connect from both cities to El Pas de la Casa and the town centre is compact enough to explore on foot. Ski lifts connect to the surrounding slopes.
