Rich with natural beauty, the Heritage-listed Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is home to one of the most majestic caves systems in the world. An oasis for outdoor enthusiasts, this park in north-central Vietnam features four-million-year-old caves, karst mountains, and picturesque rivers.
Nicknamed Vietnam’s “Everest”, the colossal five-kilometer-long and 200-metre-high Hang Son Doong is the oldest karst carve in Asia. Lace up your hiking boots and explore the hundreds of cave systems, where you’ll discover beautiful underground rivers and vegetation-filled trails.
There are also plenty of above-ground attractions to explore. You can go forest-trekking to spot wildlife, such as Asian black bears, langurs, and muntjacs, learn about the area’s war history and sign up for an exciting mountain biking tour.
