Many of Israel’s most historic landmarks are found in Nazareth, including the Basilica of the Annunciation built upon what is believed to be the childhood home of the Virgin Mary. Getting around Nazareth
You can get around on foot in the centre of Nazareth, but there are also public buses available if you need to travel a bit further out. The closest airport to Nazareth is Haifa Airport, which is around 41 kilometres from Nazareth, while you can also reach Nazareth from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv by bus.
