Located along Sicily’s Mediterranean coastline, Marina di Ragusa is a thriving beach resort with the charm of an old fishing village. Luxury yachts fill the modern marina, lured by Ragusa’s golden beaches, pulsating promenade and traditional Sicilian seafood.
Spend a day at the beach, where you can hire a sun lounger and umbrella from one of the many lidos dotted along the foreshore. The shallow Mediterranean waters are ideal for swimming, while the fine sand is great for a beach volleyball game or a round of bocce.
Wander along the promenade lined with waterfront bars, alfresco cafes and creperies. Book a terrace table at Quattro Quarti, a sophisticated Sicilian seafood restaurant and bar overlooking the beach. After dinner, treat yourself to a crispy ricotta cannoli at Caffe Delle Rose.
Craving some adventure? Hire a sailboat for the day or join a fishing charter from Marina di Ragusa Port. For a taste of local cuisine, don’t miss the seaside farmers market, where you can buy local olive oil, ripe, juicy tomatoes and fish straight off the boat.
