Things to do in Luodong Township
Spend an evening at Luodong Night Market for authentic Taiwanese street food, including scallion pancakes, tapioca starch balls and “stinky tofu” with Thai spicy sauce. Stalls line the perimeter of Jungshan Park, which also offers music, performance art and local crafts and jewellery.
Travelling with the family? Take a walk at Luodong Sports Park to feed Japanese grass carp before heading to Luodong Forestry Culture Garden. The kids can explore old train engines and admire enormous sculptures made from tree stumps.
Temples reveal long-held connections to deities, including the elaborate Gung An Temple. Visit some of the smaller temples devoted to agriculture, nature and animals, including Sun Wukong, the monkey god.

Getting around Luodong Township
Luodong is accessible by train, bus or car, with rental vehicles available at Taipei Songshan Airport, about a one-hour drive away. After arrival, you can use city buses or taxis to get around. Bicycle rentals are often available near the train station.
