Serving the Antioquia Department, Jose Maria Cordova International Airport is one of the busiest airports in Colombia. It’s situated south-east of Medellin and is a hub for low-cost carrier Viva Colombia. It offers flights to international destinations across the Americas and Europe.
Pick up any last-minute souvenirs or travel accessories at one of the duty-free shops, with currency exchange counters and ATMs also available. There’s an information booth where you can get recommendations on what to do in Medellin, as well as car rental counters.
Head to the upper-level food court, which is clustered with grab-and-go eateries, or settle in at one of the airport’s casual restaurants. If you want to escape the crowds, buy a pass for the VIP “Lounge Medellin”, where complimentary drinks, newspapers and Wi-Fi are available.
