Things to do in Guadalupe
Museo del Acero Horno 3 is a steel museum located in central Guadalupe, which provides an immersive educational experience with interactive science exhibits and live fire shows. The building itself is a work of art, lighting up in a vibrant orange at night to represent a burning furnace.
To the south of Guadalupe sits the Reserva Natural Cerro de la Silla, a mountain forming part of the foothills of the Sierra Madre. There are four peaks to climb, each one made up of exhilarating trails suitable for seasoned hikers.
Back in the city centre, you’ll stumble upon Bosque Magico Coca Cola, a large outdoor amusement park packed with adrenalin-fuelled rides. Whether you’re a roller coaster expert or you’d prefer to stick to the go karts, there’s an array of experience for all ages.
Football fans will delight at the new BBVA Bancomer Stadium, home ground to the Mexican football team, the Monterrey Rayados. Catch a home game, before heading out to the local bars with the supporters for a drink or two.
Getting around Guadalupe
General Mariano Escobedo International Airport sits 20 minutes north-east of Guadalupe, while Del Norte Airport is 30 minutes to the north. Once in Guadalupe city centre, you can make use of neighbouring Monterrey’s taxis services, buses and subway system.
