The Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport is the second-busiest airport in Texas. It serves as a hub for both United Airlines and Spirit Airlines but also serves over 24 other airlines including American, Lufthansa and Delta.
George Bush Intercontinental Airport comprises five terminals, A through E. It offers two main means of transport between terminals. The Skyway is accessible once you’ve gone through security and transports passengers between terminals.
Texas is famous for its love of barbecued meat, and the restaurant options at IAH reflect this preference. Jimee’s BBQ represents Texas cuisine well, while Hippo Burgers can perfectly satisfy your burger-and-fries cravings. Houston is also home to some excellent Cajun and Creole food, with both Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen and Gumbo Jeaux’s making a strong showing at the airport.
Getting there
At around 32 kilometers from downtown Houston, the Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport is further from its city than other airports.
