Comprising sporting, convention and entertainment venues, the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex lies on the northern edge of the city centre. It was built in the 1970s by the winning entrant of what was the largest competition run by the American Institute of Architects.
Watch a college basketball game or ice hockey match at the 10-storey Legacy Arena or experience a Disney on Ice performance in the Magic City Theatre. Classical music concerts and touring Broadway shows are often presented at the BJCC Concert Hall, while the BJCC Theater hosts operas and ballets.
Travelling with kids? The complex is also home to the Birmingham Children’s Theatre, which presents youth-oriented shows. Alternatively, check to see what trade shows and conventions are scheduled for the 20,000-square-metre Exhibition Hall.
