From leisurely walks through flower-filled meadows to challenging summit trails, there’s something for everyone. You’ll find some of the best trails in the pristine Pian di Gembro Natural Reserve and in Valtellina Orobic Alps Regional Park, where you can spot majestic brown bears.
Day trip to the historic town of Tirano set on the River Adda. Get lost in the winding lanes of the Old Town and admire architectural gems like Renaissance-style Santuario della Madonna Church. From here, you can board the Bernina Express to Saint Moritz. The famous train winds through the mountains and takes you past shimmering glaciers, over sweeping viaducts and past waterfalls dripping with icicles. It’s one of the most scenic train journeys in the world and has been awarded with UNESCO World Heritage status.
Getting around Aprica
Aprica is pedestrian-friendly and easy to get around on foot. The village is in Lombardy, a 2.5-hour drive from Milan. Tresenda-Aprica-Teglio Train Station is a 20-minute drive away. Malpensa Airport is a 2.5-hour drive away.
