Vast stretches of white-sand beach meet the shimmering Atlantic Ocean in Pinamar, one of the most stylish seaside resorts in Buenos Aires. Whether you want to sip cocktails under the sun, enjoy a sumptuous seafood feast or hike through pine trees, Pinamar is a slice of Argentine paradise.
Things to do in Pinamar
Slip on a swimsuit for a day on one of Pinamar’s beautiful beaches. Relax under the shade of a large parasol on the quiet shores of El Mas Alla beach or enjoy the lively beachside bars at Playa de Pinamar. Splash through the waves on a jet ski, learn to surf on perfectly curling waves or go on a paragliding adventure.
Nature enthusiasts can ride horseback through the pine trees and secluded beaches of Northern Pinmar, while adrenaline-junkies can crash through the sand dunes on quad bikes. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, take an exhilarating sandboard ride down the sloping dunes.
Rise early for an early-morning yoga class amongst the rocky coves of Pinamar Beach. If you prefer to rise for the catch of the day, join a fishing charter on Pinamar’s rivers, inlets and oceans.
Treat yourself to an exquisite seafood feast on the outdoor deck of Catina Tulumei. Tuck into a large bowl of “Cazuela de Mariscos”, Argentina’s aromatic seafood stew, before heading to Pinta Pinamar Bar for some post-dinner cocktails.
Getting around Pinamar
Pinamar is a four-hour bus from Buenos Aires or a 25-minute drive from Villa Gesell Airport, which offers seasonal flights from the capital. Out of season, you can fly into Ástor Piazzolla International Airport in Mar del Plata. Pinamar is small enough to get around on foot.
