Petrcane is a sun-drenched holiday resort set on the Adriatic Sea. It’s framed by a pair of picturesque peninsulas and combines the charm of an authentic Croatian fishing village with beautiful beaches, turquoise water and an idyllic Mediterranean climate.
The main beach is set directly on the promenade and wraps around a jewel-toned bay. Roll out your towel on the pebble sand or bask on the paved sunbathing areas. Pine trees dot the beach and create sun-dappled shade. Buy cold drinks and ocean-fresh seafood from small restaurants that dot the beach. Nearby Punta Radman Beach is a vision of sparkling blue water and honey-coloured pebble sand.
Stroll around the village and discover more than 900 years of history. The streets are lined with beautiful Dalmatian stone houses, with many reimagined as lively cafes and restaurants. Admire centuries-old medieval churches and sip fruit brandy at a sidewalk café.
Scenic trails wind through the surrounding countryside and past olive groves and vineyards. You could easily spend an entire day in Krka National Park, where you’ll find a series of cascading waterfalls hidden in a steep limestone canyon.
