Ozdere is a picturesque beach resort set on the sparkling Aegean Sea and blessed with a sandy beach and freshly-caught seafood. In addition to beach hopping along the coast, you can visit Ephesus, one of Turkey's most important archaeological sites.
Things to do in Özdere
With powdery sand and aquamarine water, Ozdere Beach is the resort's biggest draw. It's great for swimming, sunbathing or simply relaxing under a colourful umbrella. You can also enjoy exhilarating water sports, including kayaking and paddleboarding.
Kadinlar Denizi, also known as "Ladies Sea", is an easy "dolmus" ride down the coast. It’s one of the Aegean Sea's most popular beaches, thanks to its golden sand, diverse shops and string of waterfront restaurants. With freshly squeezed juices, towering mezze platters and sparkling views, Ladies Sea Hotel Restaurant is a firm favourite.
Ozdere is fringed by a breezy promenade that hugs the Aegean shoreline. It's a great place for a stroll, especially at sunset when the water takes on a golden glow. Along the way you'll pass plenty of open-air cafes and restaurants where you can stop for Turkish coffee, cocktails or a sumptuous seafood platter.
Ozdere is 30 minutes from Ephesus, one of the biggest and most important cities of the Greco-Roman world. Gaze up at the soaring Library of Celsus, admire the Temple of Hadrian, walk down the Curetes Way thoroughfare and stroll around the Great Theatre.
Getting around Özdere
Ozdere is easy to get around on foot, especially on the waterfront resort strip. Turkey's Aegean Cast is also well-serviced by local "dolmus" minibuses that run to nearby beaches, towns and cities. The trip to Kusadasi takes around one hour. Flights touch down at Izmir Adnan Menderes International Airport, located 70 kilometres from Ozdere.
