Oslob is an expanse of rolling hills and oceanfront situated along the Cebu Strait. The area is famous for its coral stone ruins, waterfalls and swimming excursions with whale sharks.
Things to do in Oslob
If you want to get up close with whale sharks, Oslob offers a variety of boat tours and diving options. Go for a scuba dive with Island Trek Tours, embark on a whale-watching tour with Oslob Whaleshark Adventure or go swimming with the whale sharks with Alei Travel and Tours.
For a day out in nature, head to Tumalog Falls, located one kilometre off the main road. Trek down to the fish spa at the entrance, then head on to the falls where you can take a photograph or swim in the shallow pool at its base.
Escape city life on Sumilon Island, located on the southeastern tip of Oslob. Dive into Garden Eel Plaza or Julie’s Rock, bring your binoculars for birdwatching or arrange for a paddle around the area.
For a journey back in time, head to the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Admire the cut coral stone architecture, check out the ruins of a watchtower located just outside the grounds and admire the adjacent bell tower.
Getting around Oslob
From Bato, it’s a 20-minute Ceres bus ride to Oslob. From the port of Oslob, you can take a boat over to Sumilon Island. The easiest way to get around is by motorbike.
