Middelkerke is pedestrian-friendly and easy to get around on foot. Local buses are a good way to travel between Middelkerke and neighbouring villages. The town is in West Flanders, a 30-minute drive from Bruges and one hour from Ghent. Oostende Train Station is a 15-minute drive away.
