The main hub of the Washington Metro system, Metro Center is located in the heart of Downtown Washington, D.C. It connects the Blue, Orange, Red and Silver lines, while offering direct access to Macy’s department store, Grand Hyatt Washington and The Shops at National Place.
Keep an eye out for the entrance pylons on the streets surrounding the Metro Center before descending to the subway station. A “Scenes of Washington” mural decorates the 12th and G Street mezzanine, with this famous painting by G. Byron Peck depicting iconic scenes from the U.S. capital.
The Metro Center Metro Station provides easy access to many of Washington, D.C.’s sights, including Freedom Plaza and the National Museum of Women in the Arts. The White House is a 10-minute walk from the station, while clothing stores, cafes and fast-food eateries are found in the surrounding streets.

The Metro Center Metro Station is a major meeting point for the city’s subway lines and easily accessible by train from destinations across Washington, D.C. Ronald Reagan International Airport is a 10-minute drive away.
