Things to do in Malta
Stroll around the Round Lake Historic District, a picturesque neighbourhood listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Walk along tree-lined streets lined with charming Victorian homes and enjoy a show at the Round Lake Auditorium. Built in the early 1900s, the glass-enclosed pavilion is beautifully restored and hosts performances throughout the summer. Many performances feature music played on the heritage-listed pipe organ assembled in 1847.
Visit Saratoga National Historical Park and walk the grounds where several Revolutionary War battles unfolded. Scenic trails wind through the park and are dotted with interpretive panels where you can learn more about the Battles of Saratoga, which saw the Americans claim victory over the British in 1777.
From classical recitals by the Philadelphia Orchestra to pop concerts, the Saratoga Performing Arts Centre (SPAC) hosts a variety of performances. The open-air venue is set in the grounds of Saratoga Spa State Park and features a sprawling lawn with space for 20,000 spectators.
Spend a sun-drenched day on the banks of Saratoga Lake. Brown's Beach is perched on the southern end of the lake and features a sandy beach and grassy foreshore. It’s a great place to swim, sunbathe and picnic.
