Located at the eastern tip of Korčula, Lumbarda is a charming coastal village surrounded by pine forests and olive groves. It has a rich history dating back more than 2,000 years and has long been renowned as a centre for winemaking, fishing and stone carving.
For a day on the sand, head to Vela Przina Beach, which offers magnificent views across the water toward the island of Lastovo. On the other side of the headland is Lumbarda Beach, with its shallow waters making it ideal for families. To escape the crowds, hike to the remote, rocky cove of Raznjic Korčula.
Lumbarda is dotted with family-owned wineries where you can enjoy guided tastings of Korčula famous Grk Bijeli variety. Explore the cellars of Lovric Winery, sample the homemade liquors at Popic Winery or soak up the views from Vitis Winery accompanied by a cheese platter.
