About Lahinch

Overlooking Liscannor Bay, Lahinch is a charming town on the north-west coast of County Clare. It’s a popular surfing destination and home to the historic Lahinch Golf Course, and also serves as an ideal home base for exploring the dramatic Cliffs of Moher.

You can stretch your legs on the crescent-shaped sands of Lahinch Beach, which is renowned for its powerful Atlantic swells. In addition to attracting surfers, the town also lures in golfers to its 18-hole course that has been described as the “St. Andrew’s of Ireland”.

Stretching for 14 kilometres along the coast are the UNESCO-listed Cliffs of Moher - a highlight of the 2,500-kilometre-long Wild Atlantic Way. Rising to more than 200 metres in height at some points, they offer magnificent views across the Aran Islands and the surrounding mountain ranges. Follow the Cliffs of Moher Coastal Walk to see the 19th-century O’Brien’s Tower or gaze up at the sea cliffs aboard a cruise.
