Perched on the north coast of the Black Sea, Koblevo is a popular holiday town east of Odessa. It’s home to family-friendly attractions and a long stretch of sand where you can soak up the sunshine, while it’s also on the doorstep of the bird-filled Tylihul Estuary.
Things to do in Koblevo
You can spend a day relaxing on the sands of Plyazh Kobleve, which stretches the entire length of the town. Rent an umbrella and a beach lounger from one of the restaurants that back the beach or settle in at the waterfront tables to feast on Ukrainian specialties as you watch the world go by.
Travelling with kids? Cool off at the Water Park Kobleve, which features thrilling water slides and a variety of swimming pools to suit all ages. Koblevo is also home to Lunapark, a popular nighttime attraction packed with classic amusement park rides, side-show games and snack eateries.
Keen birdwatchers should visit north of Kobleve and the Tylihul Estuary, a Ramsar-listed waterbody set along the Tylihul River. In addition to its exceptional birdlife, the estuary is a popular destination for windsurfing and kitesurfing while its bottom-dwelling mud is renowned for its therapeutic properties.
Getting around Koblevo
Koblevo is around one hour’s drive from the centre of Odessa and a little over an hour to Odessa International Airport. High-speed trains connect from Odessa to Kiev. Having your own car is the most convenient way of exploring the region and getting around Koblevo.
