Things to do in Ji'an
Discover the natural beauty of the Jinggang Mountain Scenic Area, home to the magnificent Five Fingers Peak. Climb to a viewing platform for an uninterrupted view of the mountain's jagged limestone peaks, which emerge like five extended fingers from the untouched forest below.
Experience the thunderous roar of the Longtan Waterfalls, a collection of five cascading waterfalls and tranquil ponds encircled by dramatic mountain scenery on the Wushen River. Swim in the emerald waters of the Jade Waterfall, witness the “stone dragon” trapped in the Lock-Dragon Waterfall and be amazed by the 30-meter-tall Pearl Waterfall.
Hike across the high-altitude meadows of Wugong Mountain, one of China’s three great peaks. At an elevation of 2,000 meters, the Golden Summit Scenic Area is the mountain's highlight. On the journey to the summit, don’t miss the 700-year-old Shigu Temple, shimmering Buddhist Ziji Palace and ancient altars dating back almost 2,000 years.
Visit the Jinggangshan Revolution Museum to learn about the formation of The People’s Liberation Army and the Chinese Revolution. The museum features a collection of 3,000 cultural relics from the Chinese Red Army, including oil paintings from the 1920s.
Getting around Ji'an
Jinggangshan Airport is a 45-minute drive or taxi ride from the center of Ji’an. Buses and trains travel between Ji’an and Jinggangshan. Once in Ji’an, local buses and taxis offer reliable transport.
