Things to do in Higashiosaka
Literary enthusiasts should visit one of Higashiosaka’s most beloved cultural landmarks, the Shiba Ryotaro Memorial Museum, dedicated to the writer, Shiba Ryotaro. Marvel at the collection of 20,000 books, along with historic manuscripts, paintings and videos.
The entire family can enjoy a day at Ikoma-sanjo Amusement Park. Perched 642 metres high on Mt. Ikoma, its spectacular views are as captivating as the rides. You can also take a 50-minute train east to explore Universal Studios Japan and its movie-themed thrill rides, live entertainment and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Getting around Higashiosaka
Higashiosaka’s city centre is easily walkable, but to reach most attractions a bus, bicycle, or car is needed. It’s a 30-minute train ride from Osaka’s city centre, while Kansai International Airport is an hour away by car or train.
