Brush up on local history at the Horry County Museum. It’s housed in a historic schoolhouse and features exhibits on natural history, Native American culture and life for early settlers. See enormous taxidermy bears and visit the aquarium to learn about aquatic life found in local lakes, rivers and waterways.
Spend the day in fun-loving Myrtle Beach. Sunbathe on white-sand beaches and soak in the nostalgia on the boardwalk dotted with games arcades, souvenir shops and ice cream parlours. The enormous Ferris wheel is one of the tallest in the United States and unlocks sweeping views over Myrtle Beach and the Atlantic Ocean.
Getting around Conway
Downtown Conway and the historic district are pedestrian-friendly and easy to get around on foot. The town is in Horry County, a 30-minute drive from Myrtle Beach. Rental cars offer the freedom to visit Conway and explore Horry County and Myrtle Beach at your own pace. Myrtle Beach International Airport is a 30-minute drive away.
