Comprising not only Chinatown, but also Japantown and Little Saigon, the Chinatown International District is the vibrant centre of Seattle’s Asian-American community. This multi-ethnic neighbourhood is packed with noodle restaurants and dim sum eateries, as well as karaoke bars and colourful markets selling Asian goods.
Discover the cultural history of the district at the Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience and admire the Historic Chinatown Gate at its western end. Stroll between the traditional pavilion and chess tables of Hing Hay Park or head to the Donnie Chin International Children's Park, where kids can play on the bronze dragon sculpture and colourful drums.
Soak up the tranquil ambience while wandering through the Japanese-styled park of Kobe Terrace, which also incorporates the Danny Woo International District Community Garden. The Chinatown International District is also home to the Seattle Pinball Museum where you can test your skills on more than 50 vintage and modern pinball machines.
