Things to do in Centurion
See wildebeest, zebras and other iconic African animals at Rietvlei Nature Reserve. The 4,000-hectare park is set on a dam and offers an authentic safari experience. Watch ostriches strut through the grasslands and keep your eyes peeled for elusive animals like cheetahs and leopards.
Get up close with majestic big cats at the Lion & Safari Park. Guided safaris are the best way to explore the 1,000-hectare park and learn more about the resident lions. You’ll also see wild dogs, hyenas and springboks. Turn up the adrenaline with a quad bike tour or horseback riding adventure. There’s also a chance to hand-feed giraffes, antelope and ostriches.
Cheer on the legendary Titans cricket team at SuperSport Park. Also known as Centurion Park, the cricket stadium has hosted Titans games since 2004. Instead of traditional hot dogs, you can fill up on boerewors rolls topped with spicy “chakalaka” relish.
Discover the city’s military past at the South African Air Force (SAAF) Museum. It’s housed on a working air base and celebrates the legacy of the SAAF. From vintage warbirds to modern fighter jets, the museum showcases a fantastic collection of aircraft.
