Imprisoned by occupying Japanese forces in WWII, over 500 American POWs were liberated from Camp Pangatian by American Rangers and Filipino guerrillas in 1945. This “The Raid of Cabanatuan” is retold through eyewitness accounts at Camp Pangatian’s educational and historic shrine.
Head to nearby Minalungao National Park for stunning vistas, where you can embark on a river voyage aboard a traditional bamboo raft. Relax on this tranquil river as you wind through narrow limestone passages overgrown with lush tropical flora. Featuring unique rock formations, subterranean caverns, cliff diving and fishing, Minalungao is unlike any other place in the country.
