Explore Bhavnagar’s city center and pick up handicrafts, jewelry and regional specialties from local vendors, then take your spoils to nearby Gaurishankar Lake to enjoy a quiet picnic by the water. You can also stroll through the 200-hectare Victoria Park, famous for its water birds.
History enthusiasts can visit the Gandhi Smriti museum, where a small gallery showcases rare photos and memorabilia related to the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Located beneath the museum lies the Barton Library and Museum, where a number of rare books sit next to religious carvings, weaponry and coins.
